Prior to joining the TVM Healthcare Institute, Emilie worked as a communications and strategy adviser to think tanks, academics and development agencies. She spent the first 15 years of her career working in international development and diplomacy, including with the United Nations, with postings in Afghanistan, Côte D’Ivoire, Mali, Haiti and Myanmar. She also worked with the European Commission in Moscow.

Emilie has spent her career building relationships across cultures, systems and hierarchies. Her passion is in connecting with people, understanding their stories and communicating these to a wider audience.

Emilie holds Masters degrees in Development Studies and in Creative Writing, and speaks fluent French and Spanish. She is also conversational in Russian, German and Czech, and has basic knowledge of Farsi. She is based in the UK.
